About Us
We Are Beautiful Outreach Programs, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Starshemah Duncan in August 2022. The organization was created in response to the growing need among girls and young women struggling with self-esteem and self-worth.
Drawing from her own experiences as a dark-skinned girl, Starshemah faced challenges with confidence and acceptance that followed her into adulthood. These personal struggles inspired her to establish a safe, nurturing space where girls and young women could cultivate confidence, resilience, and self-love.
Guided by the motto “Cultivate the Beauty Within”, We Are Beautiful helps participants recognize and embrace their unique qualities, transforming perceived flaws or weaknesses into strengths and celebrating their beauty both inside and out.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower girls and young women ages 8-18 by helping them discover their worth, develop life skills, and strengthen their confidence. We are also expanding our services to include college-aged women and women navigating major life transitions who seek personal growth, resilience, and self-confidence.
